NOW Telecom receives license to operate from NTC

NOW Corp. has announced that its unit, NOW Telecom, was given an extended license by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) to operate as a telecommunications provider.

In a report by CNN Philippines, the license will allow NOW Telecom Company, Inc. to offer telecommunications services which include mobile data, voice calls, and SMS, in the Philippines.

In February 2018, President Rodrigo Duterte signed into law Republic Act 10972 which renews the franchise of Now Telecom for another 25 years.

In June 2019, NOW Corporation announced that NOW Telecom plans to offer 5G services in the Philippines.
