NOW Internet is ready to deliver their Fiber Air broadband services to residential subscribers. In a recent presentation by Head of Marketing & Communications at NOW Corporation, Kris Pura, the service will be launched in selected areas next week.
Area availability is still very limited with Urdaneta, Corinthians, Wack-wack, Valle Verde and New Manila as the first ones to get it. However, since this is wireless broadband, it should be easy to roll this out to other locations.
The roll-out was originally unveiled back in 2015 (see story here) and was supposed to have been available by 2016 in Manila, Mandaluyong and QC.
We sent out an inquiry to their customer support but apparently, they have not yet been briefed about this new residential plans.
Currently, Now Corporation has been serving enterprise customers for years.

Percival tadeo says:
Sana magkaroon din ng air fiber in residential area yung mababa lang presyo para dun sa mga di naabot ng wire …..
Geronimo Padilla says:

Jess Anonuevo says:
Good Morning Everyone, galing po ako kahapon sa office nila in front of PLDT, sa may Espana Blvd, and nakausap ko po yung sales head nila, and as of now, for enterprise muna yung available na plan nila, kasi ang inquiry ko for Personal lang, mabilis po talaga yung connection kasi enterprise quality, so ibig sabihin po nun, yung connection quality na ginagamit nila sa mga client nila sa call centers, point to point po system nila, i didirect po nila yung dish sa location mo then beam po sa kanila, since bata pa yung company expect na muna natin na yung sa mga malalapit na muna sila mag start and para makakuha ng funds for expansion
jamier labarador says:

ZaKaiDK says:
Lets wait, try and then react.
Caleb Josh says:
It is possible that they will be using 60GHz radio for this service but we will be using the cheaper alternative powered by Peraso chipset. Probably from IgniteNet (https://www.ignitenet.com/).
We’ve been selling NOW some 60 and 80GHz radio but for backhaul use.
hello says:
bakit ang negative ng comments? we should be thankful na dumarami options natin
wat says:
except these options are either too expensive or simply limited to specific areas only
Andrew says:
Sus nalang. limited Ang resources Ng air frequency. Maglatag kaya sila ng cables.
rinz says:
Ang alam ko Now Corp has access to certain frequencies, sila yung dating Nextel
netizen says:
Fiber Air? How ironic. Wag niyo kaming lokohin.. 400mbps running wireless, but under 70% reliability. Good job good job, may scam na naman na pagkakakitaan.
trapik says:
Of course, they will always offer their new services to their super rich clients. This is discrimination.
But knowing their sub-standard services and their callousness……. need I say more?
Kalurky says:
“Urdaneta, Corinthians, Wack-wack, Valle Verde and New Manila” … Hay naku, pang mayayaman lang pala ito, as usual, no options na naman kaming mahihirap na nakatira lang sa mga barangay.
el gato says:
okay lang brod, hintayin natin yung yugatech LTE prepaid sim..
Hehe says:
Damn these marketing guys. Why call it “fiber” when it is not using the medium?!
Researcher says:
There are certain types of fiber connection, in this case, hindi sya FTTH (fiber to the home) tulad ng PLDT. It may be FTTN (fiber to the node) or FTTC (Fiber to the cabinet) type which is still considered fiber. Yung cabinet may antenna din yan tapos yung connection ng user to the cabinet is by point to point antenna kaya naitawag na fiber air. Yung type na connection na yan kaya yung throughput na up to 450mbps.
