Lenovo IdeaPad 5i, Flex 5i Chromebooks specs, now official

Lenovo has announced two new Chromebooks which the company says are affordable personal devices for the modern home office and home classroom, the IdeaPad 5i Chromebook (14”, 6) and IdeaPad Flex 5i Chromebook (13”, 6).

The IdeaPad 5i Chromebook (14”, 6) is a stylish one and features a dual-tone and narrow bezel design. It has a 14-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS touchscreen with 300 nits brightness, 2x 2W stereo speakers with Waves Audio tuning, optional backlit keyboard, WiFi 6, Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio jack, USB 3.1 Type-C and Type-A, webcam, weighs 1.42kg, and available in Sand and Storm Grey colors.

It is powered by an up to Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor, up to 8GB LPDDR4 RAM, up to 512GB SSD, Google Chrome OS, and a battery that can last up to 10 hours.

Next is the Flex 5i Chromebook (13”, 6) which comes in Abyss Blue and Iron Grey. As the name suggests, it’s a 2-in-1 that features a flexible 360-degree hinge so you can use it in multiple modes to suit your needs. It sports a 13.3-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS touchscreen with 250 nits brightness, 2x 2W stereo speakers with Waves Audio tuning, 720p webcam, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, weighs 1.35kg and has an optional Lenovo Digital Pen.

Powering it is up to Intel Core i5-1135G7, 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 512GB PCIe SSD, Google Chrome OS, and a battery that can last up to 10 hours.

The IdeaPad 5i Chromebook (14”, 6) laptop will start at EUR 399 and is expected to be available starting July 2021, while the IdeaPad Flex 5i Chromebook (13”, 6) will start at? EUR 399 and is expected to be available starting?June 2021.
