Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 8, X1 Yoga Gen 5 now official

Aside from the new Creator line-up, Lenovo has also announced its new ThinkPad laptops – the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 8 and the ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 5.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 8 sports a 14-inch IPS display with up to WQHD resolution and optional FHD touch variant, 10th-gen Intel Core processor, up to 16GB LPDDR3 RAM, up to 2TB PCIe SSD, WiFi 6 support, Thunderbolt 3 ports, Dolby Atoms Speaker System, IR camera with ThinkShutter, and a 51Whr battery for up to 18.5 hours of battery life.

For the Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga Gen 5, it sports a14-inch IPS display with up to WQHD resolution, 10th-gen Intel Core processor, up to 16GB LPDDR3 RAM, up to 2TB PCIe SSD, WiFi 6 support, Thunderbolt 3 ports, IR camera with Privacy, and a 51Whr battery for up to 15 hours of battery life.

Lenovo boasts Mil-Spec tested build quality for both laptops and quality keyboard that ThinkPads are known for which also includes a new unified communications function row buttons for instant VoIP access.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen starts at USD 1,499, while the Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga Gen 5 starts at USD 1,599. Both will arrive this year.
