LG Unveils Thinner, Lighter Gram Pro Laptops (2024) with Enhanced AI Performance

LG Electronics has launched its upgraded LG Gram Pro and Gram Pro 360 laptops for 2024. The new Gram Pro lineup promises improved artificial intelligence and graphics capabilities alongside thinner and lighter designs compared to previous models.

The LG Gram Pro features Intel’s next-generation Core Ultra CPU, which is the first Intel chip to include an Intel AI Boost neural processing unit (NPU) for on-device AI tasks without an internet connection.

This allows functions like automatically classifying photos into 38 categories. Models equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 external GPU can achieve even faster AI performance of creating 5 images per second on average using generative AI tools.

Weighing just 1,199g at only 12.4mm thick, the Gram Pro is 21% thinner than the 2023 model.

It also now includes dual cooling fans for better thermal management during intensive tasks.

The 16-inch Gram Pro 360 was recognized by Guinness World Records as the lightest 2-in-1 laptop at 1,399g weight. Its touchscreen is optimized for creative work like digital art.

Both new Gram laptops support high resolutions up to WQXGA and fast 144Hz refresh rates on their displays.

The Gram Pro also introduces an ‘AI Gram Link’ feature allowing wireless file sharing and screen mirroring between the laptop and up to 10 mobile devices.

LG will offer a total of 8 Gram models, including regular and 360 variants across screen sizes from 14 to 17 inches.

All are powered by Intel’s latest Core Ultra CPUs. Pricing for the Gram Pro ranges from 2.54 to 3.34 million KRW (Starts at ~PHP 108k), while the Gram Pro 360 is priced between 2.74 to 3.19 million KRW (Starts at ~PHP 116k).

LG begins pre-orders in South Korea from January 2nd to 15th 2024.
