Samsung Enhances Connectivity Features for Galaxy Book4 Series PCs #CES2024

At CES2024 Samsung announced new intelligent connectivity capabilities for its Galaxy Book4 series of Windows laptops, developed in collaboration with Microsoft. The latest connectivity updates are aimed at delivering a seamless, productive experience across Samsung and Microsoft devices.

One of the major new features is Microsoft Copilot, which allows seamless connectivity between Galaxy Book4 PCs and Samsung Galaxy smartphones. Using intelligent AI, Copilot lets users find, read and summarize text messages from their Galaxy phone directly on the laptop. It can also automatically create and send messages on behalf of users from the PC. This allows seamless access to smartphone functions and information without having to switch devices.

Another key update allows Galaxy smartphone cameras to be used as a high-quality webcam for Galaxy Book4 PCs. Users can connect their Galaxy device to their laptop using Microsoft’s Phone Link app for smooth video calls. They get the benefit of the smartphone’s powerful cameras while retaining full PC productivity. Users can easily switch between the front and rear cameras during calls with a single click for flexibility. Smartphone features like background blur and auto-framing are also available to enhance the video quality.

In addition, Samsung says pairing the Galaxy Book4 with other Galaxy devices opens up more possibilities. For example, the Tab S9 Ultra tablet can be used as an extended high-resolution monitor. Galaxy Buds provide superior sound quality and reduced latency during calls or media playback.

The new connectivity updates are aimed at delivering a seamless experience across Samsung and Microsoft products. They reinforce the ongoing collaboration between the companies to make powerful, intelligent capabilities possible on Galaxy Book4 PCs. The enhanced features are expected to benefit users managing tasks and collaborating in hybrid work environments.
