Opera has just announced the integration of AI-generated content services into its browser on both PC and mobile. Beginning with the integration of ChatGPT into their browser’s sidebar.
The most notable feature is the new “Shorten” button at the address bar to help summarize and shorten any webpage or article using AI.
According to The Verge, Opera will begin rolling out its Shorten feature to users very soon.
Opera’s announcement also comes right after Microsoft’s Bing integration with ChatGPT and Google’s announcement of its own AI named “Bard”.
Opera also stated that it’s taking steps in expanding its AI program into AI-generated content for its browser, news, and gaming products through its own solutions and partnerships.
“In more than 25 years of our company’s history, we have always been at the forefront of browser innovation. Whether inventing browser tabs or providing our users with built-in access to generative AI tools, we always push the limits of what’s possible on the web,” — Song Lin, Co-CEO of Opera.
