After unveiling Meta Verified as its new form of paid verification service, Meta has now opened a waitlist 18 for those who wish to be verified on both Facebook and Instagram.
Currently though, Meta 16 Verified is only available in Australia and New Zealand for people over 18 years old. However, people from other regions may also join the waitlist to stay updated on when Meta Verified will be available in their specific region.
Meta Verified will allow users to have:
- A verified blue badge, confirming you’re the real you and that your account has been authenticated with a government ID.
- Proactive Account Protection. Get protection from impersonation with proactive account monitoring and secure your account with required two-factor authentication.
- Direct access to customer support.
- Increased visibility and reach with prominence in some areas of the platform– like search, comments and recommendations.
- Exclusive features. Get exclusive stickers on Facebook and Instagram Stories and Facebook Reels, and 100 Stars a month on Facebook so you can show your support for other creators.
It’s also priced at USD 11.99/month on the web (Facebook only) and USD 14.99 on iOS and Android.
One thing to note is that on Meta’s FAQ page, it stated that one may not use a single Meta Verified subscription on both Instagram and Facebook. Instead, in order to use Meta Verified on both Instagram and Facebook, one must subscribe on each app separately.
To join Meta Verified, one must provide a government-issued photo ID and set up their preferred payment method.
