Looks like Samsung is on a roll at IFA. They just announced a 5.3-inch Samsung Galaxy Note powered by a dual-core 1.4GHz processor.
Maybe this is Samsung’s way of telling Dell this is how you make a big-ass smartphone with an identity crisis.
Samsung Galaxy Note i9220 specs:
5.3-inch Super AMOLED display @ 1280×800 resolution
Gorilla Glass display
1.4GHz dual-core processor Exynos chip
Mali-400MP GPU
1GB RAM
up to 32GB via microSD (2GB included)
HSPA+ 21Mbps
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth 3.0
8MP rear camera
1080p full HD video recording
2MP front-facing camera
GPS w/ aGPS support
FM radio tuner
Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread
Samsung TouchWiz UI 4.0
It’s not as thin as the Galaxy S2 but we’ll take anything under 10mm and call it slim and sexy. Storage is expected to be a choice between 16GB and 32GB.
It also comes with an S Pen Stylus so the idea of a smartphone-cum-tablet lives on.
The Galaxy Note also boasts of a packed 2500mAh battery. Samsung also announced a 7.7-inch tablet along with it.

wow super cool.. gusto ng ganyan.. not too big, not too small..
Katie Thomas says:
Looks like this could be a happy medium between the mobile and the tablet. . . lets call it a MOTAB!!.
Also a stylus is a handy feature along side the capture and drawing features, a lot of industries will embrace this,
especially for those chubby fingered people out there. (you try drawing professionally with your finger!!)
vince says:
mahal ko na ang Samsung dahil dito.
Mike says:
Still iphone drought!!! Samsung will surpass Nokia in overall cellphone sales and will overtake Apple in smartphone soon. So, Samsung will take over the world. lol

2500 mAh battery?! Might just get me back on the Android ship with this one! One of the reasons why I gave up on Android (and sold my phone) was because of DISMAL DISMAL battery life… Hopefully this one has at least BEARABLE battery life!
terra says:
too big for a phone and too small for a pad.

Grabe bilis…Expect Samsung Galaxy Note II coming Q1 2012
janjenjin says:
You happen to know when is this coming out in the Philippines?
fr0stbyte says:
This would be more suitable for enterprise use.. They just have to fix the usability of the stylus.. Engadget says it’s too slippery for optimal use.
John says:
i been waiting for months for a 7″ tablet with good resolution.. tapos yung sobrang nipis with phone capabilities..
at sa wakas, sinagot ako ng samsung.
=)
Jim says:
Yeah, the galaxy tab 7.7″ has a resolution of 196 ppi, while the 5.3″ galaxy note has 285 ppi – very close to the retina display of the iPhone.. and it has Super AMOLED. Whew! Drool-worthy indeed..
watrboy says:
how much kaya ito..
Mai says:
Any news on the battery life? I’m concerned that bigger screen = shorter battery. My SGS II only lasts a day, perhaps a day and a half without going online often.
Lyndon says:
The battery is bigger than that of SGS2. Battery life is quite good. Although, ang bagal i-charge, 4 hours to a full charge.. :( May widget naman na available, so that you can turn off several power draining features at will like bluetooth, wifi, GPS, and sync.
John says:
its normal for an android device.. yung mga android phone ko talagang 1 day lang with normal use..
yung iphone 4 ko, 3-4 days with normal use, kaya mas ginagamit ko to since nafufulfill nyo trabaho nya as a phone.. hehe
halatang may problema ang android pag dating sa battery.. anyway, cant wait for galaxy tab 7.7!!! sana mura lang. =) woohoo!
siyel says:
and how much?
roiji says:
drool worthy lalo na yung screen resolution :}
pati yung Galaxy Tab 7.7 eh drool worthy din :D
Neil says:
