Infinix Mobility has a new smartphone for the Philippines in the form of the Infinix Zero 5. It’s a solid mid-ranger that offers features normally found in more expensive devices for under Php14K. If you’re planning to get this phone, take a look at its 5 best features.
Table of Contents
Despite the large size, the Zero 5 looks and feels premium. It is also nice to hold, thanks to the metal body with tapered sides, chamfered edges, and 2.5D curved glass. It’s hefty though, at 197g, but understandable considering its materials and large 4,350mAh battery. The matte finish repels fingerprints and smudges well, while the Bordeaux Red color adds a degree of sophistication to its overall look. If red is not your color, there’s Champagne Gold and Sandstone Black as well.
More smartphones are getting equipped with displays with 18:9 aspect ratio, however, the Zero 5 stuck with a 16:9 with thick top and bottom bezels. Still, the 5.98-inch screen with an IPS panel and Full HD resolution gives off good viewing angles, accurate colors, and a decent 368ppi pixel density which is more than enough for watching videos, viewing photos, and playing games. It also has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to protect it from minor bumps and scratches.
Powering the Zero 5 is a MediaTek Helio P25 octa-core chipset, Mali-T880 MP2 GPU, 6GB RAM, and XOS 3.0 Hummingbird based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It yielded a score of 66,297 at AnTuTu’s benchmark which is not bad for a mid-range smartphone. It also has 64GB of storage which is a good starting point for a device of this caliber, and a dedicated microSD card slot which is perfect for those who hate the hybrid setup.
The Zero 5 is equipped with a 12MP Sony IMX386 shooter that is paired with a 13MP telephoto capable of 2X optical zoom. Selfies, on the other hand, are handled by a 16MP camera with LED flash. It also has Beauty effect, Portrait mode, and Pro mode if you want full control. We’re yet to reveal our verdict on its camera on our full review but so far we like the images produced as they are sharp with good colors and dynamic range.
While most smartphones carry batteries with capacities around 3,000mAh, the Zero 5 sports a 4,350mAh power pack that is obviously above average. What this means is that the Zero 5 can handle a whole day of heavy use without having to worry if you don’t have a charger or a power bank with you. In addition, it also features Infinix’s X-Charge for quick power replenishment.
The Infinix Zero 5 is now available at Lazada for Php13,999. See listing here.
