Recently, Meizu announced their two new flagship smartphones — the Meizu Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus. And since then, both smartphones have made quite a stir across the internet. The good kind, actually. So without further ado, let’s have a quick run-through of their top features.
Table of Contents
Aside from the fact that both smartphones sport a Super AMOLED primary display, Meizu was also able to incorporate an AMOLED display on both smartphones’ secondary screen, namely, the Fenêtre display.
The Fenêtre display sports a 2-inch screen, with a resolution of 240 x 536 pixels. It is used to show notifications, weather, time, and more. It also functions as a music player. What’s more awesome about it is that it can aid in taking selfies using the dual rear cameras (as if its front cam isn’t enough).
Apparently, Meizu has also joined the dual-camera bandwagon. Both the Meizu Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus feature a 12MP f/2.0 Sony IMX386 dual rear camera, which means that they are expected to take good low light photos given its wide aperture and Sony IMX386 sensor.
Since we’re already in an era where selfies are glorified, Meizu embedded a 16MP f/2.0 front camera on both smartphones. You can pretty much surmise that both smartphones have a trifecta of cameras.
The Meizu Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus are a sight to behold, boasting an all-metal body design, and has been created using forging technology at micron level and countless times of polishing and brushing. Undoubtedly, both smartphones ooze with elegance.
The Meizu Pro 7 comes in Black, Gold, and Red variant while the Pro 7 Plus comes in Black, Amber Gold, and Crystal Silver. The 128GB version of the latter device has a Space Black variant.
If Qualcomm comes with its Quick Charge 3.0, and the OPPO with VOOC, Meizu has its own mCharge.
The Meizu Pro 7 comes with mCharge 3.0, while the Pro 7 Plus comes with mCharge 4.0 (which can charge up to 47% in just 30 minutes.)
Since both smartphones come with promising features, of course, none of it would make sense if not powered with a fast processor.
Meizu embedded both smartphones with MediaTek Helio X30 deca-core processor. It has been said that the said processor increases performance by up to 35% and saves power by up to 50% over the MediaTek Helio X20.

Haha! True. This is not a question of loyalty to your country. This is about being wise about spending your hard-earned money. Parang as a Filipino being bullied by their presence in the West Phil Sea, we don’t like them. But as a consumer, that’s a different story. Maganda naman talaga ang mga inooffer nilang phones.
