Based on specs alone, the THL 5000 is the clear winner. Although both sport the same battery capacities, the THL 5000 is pushing heavier features and specs which in turn consumes more power. The Gionee Marathon M3 on the other hand is not much of a power guzzler thanks to its modest specs. As for the price, Gionee’s offering is more affordable by Php4,000 which is more enticing for those who are in a budget.

THL5000 owner here. The phone is quite good, performance is ok, though there are times it gets a bit hot when it’s pushing it’s processor. Aside from Hydroid’s theme (IMHO, the theme looks like a late-90’s Winamp theme) no problem so far. A few hiccups here and there, but barely noticeable. The battery could last me 1-2 days depending on my usage.
