This year’s Mobile World Congress became the platform for brands to showcase their superphones. All carry unique features and specifications but they have one thing in common – most of them are rocking Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 processor. Here are eight of them.
First up are the two new offerings of Samsung, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. These smartphones pack 5.1 and 5.5 inch Super AMOLED displays with QHD resolutions, 4GB RAM, IP68-rated body, and a Sony-made 12MP dual-pixel camera. As for the processor, Samsung used its own Exynos 8890 processor and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 depending on the region.

Next is LG’s latest flagship, the LG G5. It has a 5.3-inch QHD Quantum display, 4GB RAM, dual rear cameras consisting of a 16MP main and 8MP wide-angle. It also boasts a modular design that allows you attach a Hi-Fi Plus DAC module or a camera module with two-state shutter button and 4,000mAh battery.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 sports a 5.15-inch full HD display. It’s powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with either 3GB of 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. Storage-wise, you can opt for up to 128GB of onboard flash storage. According to Xiaomi, it can reach a benchmark score of 142,084 on Antutu v6.0.4.

Revealed in early January, LeTV’s Le Max Pro is the first Snapdragon 820-equipped smartphone to be announced. It has a 6.33-inch QHD display, 4GB RAM, 21MP rear camera with OIS, 2 Ultra Pixel front camera, and Android Marshmallow.

Vivo’s XPlay 5 is set to be announced on March 1 but the company has already revealed that it will sport Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 CPU coupled with a massive 6GB RAM. Details are yet to be revealed but based on leaked photos, it will have a curved edge display and fingerprint scanner.
