Samsung has officially announced their latest smartphone – the Galaxy Note7. It packs tons of premium features that would make you drool and blow other flagship devices out of the water. Here are 7 of those features.
Table of Contents
The Galaxy Note7 gets an aesthetic overhaul compared to its predecessor. It now has a streamlined body with curved frames which feels nicer on the hands. Aside from the metal chassis, it has a glass back for a more premium look and feel.
Not only does the Galaxy Note7 looks good, but it can also withstand a great deal of water, just like its cousin, the Galaxy S7. It has an IP68-certified body so you don’t have to worry about accidental splashes or dips.
Corning Gorilla Glass 5
The Galaxy Note7 is one of the first smartphones to sport the new Gorilla Glass 5 which was announced just a couple of weeks ago. According to Corning, the new glass has better drop performance compared to Gorilla Glass 4 and can survive up to 80 percent of the time when dropped face-down from 1.6 meters onto rough surfaces. That said, the Note7 has one tough glass.
This is one of the reasons why the Galaxy Note7 is ahead of the pack. The iris scanner serves as an added layer of security for the device aside from the fingerprint scanner. You can use this technology to unlock your device, verify your Samsung account, or sign-in to websites.
The Galaxy Note7 is incomplete without the S-Pen. And like the smartphone, it also received some improvements. It now boasts a 70ms latency, sample rate of 360Hz from 240Hz, and 4,096 pressure levels from 2,048. In other words, the S-Pen on the Note7 promises to be smoother and more responsive.
Not really an new technology but it’s the first Galaxy Note to feature the said reversible port. Not even the latest flagships Galaxy S7 and S7 edge have this. That said, the Galaxy Note7 is keeping up with the technological trend which will surely benefit its future owners.
VR is starting to pick up in the smartphone market with plenty of devices offering support for the said feature. The Note7 won’t be left behind and is bundling a new Gear VR headset in the package.

blacksparrow15 says:
Uhm honestly, I’m only interested about the all new S-pen. Because its 2mm shorter from the note 5?s, I am wondering if I can buy just the pen and replace the old one (because of the double pressure sensitivity lol). No significant change from its predecessor except for the iris scanner. No flat Note 7 though, meaning I can now sleep in peace til the next Note.

I WISH THERE’S A SMALLER VERSION OF THIS LIKE 4.7″ WITH SAME SPECS
