The Honor 8C has launched in the Philippines and it comes with interesting specs at a competitive price point. Today, we’ll talk about its 8 impressive features and why it is worth to purchase this device. Let’s start!
Table of Contents
The Honor 8C doesn’t follow the mainstream design trend of having a glossy look with gradient colors. Instead, it uses a matte coating with a frosted look which looks refreshing to the eyes. Aside from that, the device features a “Cat’s Eye” design which is a subtle effect created using 3D printing and nano-level pattern design.
The Honor 8C’s 6.26-inch display is good especially if you are fond of watching videos or simply social media browsing. The phone’s slim side bezels also allow you to see more on the screen. Additionally, the 7.98mm body makes it easier to hold the phone conveniently which is great.
Powering the device is the company’s first Snapdragon 632 chipset featuring an octa-core Qualcomm Kryo 250 CPU which is said to perform 40% faster over the Snapdragon 626. It is also designed for fast web browsing, smooth user experience, and longer battery life. It holds true as we’ve also tested its performance in our full review.
The Honor 8C comes with a dual 13MP and 2MP rear shooters with the main sensor carrying an f/1.8 aperture which is ideal for low-light photography. Aside from that, its AI camera is capable of recognizing and optimizing over 500 scenarios in 22 categories.
The Honor 8C may have the standard biometrics consisting of a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and face unlock, but both of them have fast unlocking speed. They are accurate especially for the face recognition thanks to the device’s LCD Light Compensation feature which allows unlocking in low-light conditions.
The device carries a 4,000mAh battery capacity which is above average than normal phones in this price segment. In our full review, the Honor 8C lasted for 12 Hours and 58 Minutes in the PC Mark Battery test while its playback time is at 17 Hours and 12 Minutes. These numbers mean that the phone is great as a traveling companion given its long battery life.
Among the Honor 8C’s features is the Eye-Care Mode. Certified by tuV Rheinland, it reduces blue light radiation emitted by the screen to protect the user’s eyes and prevent eye strain, especially in dim lighting. You can always turn this on especially if you are reading long texts on your device.
Gaming DND
For gamers, uninterrupted gaming is of the utmost importance. Most of the time, they get disturbed by notifications of messages or calls while inside an unpausable game. The Honor 8C offers the Do Not Disturb mode which stops notifications, alerts, and calls, from interrupting the gaming experience.
That sums up the 8 impressive features of the Honor 8C. The device is priced at PHP 7,999USD 136INR 11,555EUR 130CNY 993 and is now available in the Philippines for purchase. What do you guys think? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
