Antutu’s Top 10 smartphone chipsets for Q1 2016

Smartphones are no slouch in performance and that’s a guarantee. Flagship devices are powered by only the best CPUs and GPUs available. Antutu has ranked the top chipsets for mobile devices based on their benchmark tests with the latest data for this month of the year.

The new number one is the latest chipset from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 820. It’s currently used by Samsung Galaxy S7, Xiaomi Mi 5, and LG G5 to name a few. The latest Samsung Exynos 8890 found on the Galaxy S7 as well ranks third. While the new midrange Snapdragon 652 and 650 managed to grab the 7th and 9th places, respectively.

Going to the GPUs found on the chipsets, we still have the Snapdragon 820 with its Adreno 530 in the top slot and the Exynos 8890’s Mali-T880 MP12 in third place. The midrange Snapdragon 652’s Adreno 510 receives the last slot.

Previous top of the line chipsets are still on the list of Antutu but the new chipsets are very much welcome while Apple’s exclusive A9 chip still managed to be one of the top performers.

Exynos 8890 vs the Apple A9 is not a fair comparison because one’s a 1080p and the other one is Quad HD. Yun ang flaw ng AnTuTu, you cannot set a specific screen resolution to even out the playing field

But A9 is only dual core. Meaning it’s single thread performance is much more powerful compared to Snap820.
