Apple has launched a battery replacement program for iPhone 6s devices that suffer from an unexpected shutdown.
According to Apple, it has determined that a very small number of iPhone 6s devices may unexpectedly shut down. The company clarifies hat this is not a safety issue and only affects devices within a limited serial number range that were manufactured between September and October 2015. That said, the program offers to replace the affected unit’s battery for free.
The replacement process requires you to visit a participating Apple Authorized Service Provider so the unit can be examined and verify if it is eligible for the program. Do note that wireless carrier partners are not participating in this program.
