Apple recently held its “Scary Fast” event just yesterday unveiling M3 MacBook Pros along with a refreshed 24-inch iMac with M3.
It was then revealed in a press release that all of their presenters, locations, and drone footage were shot using the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
However, it wasn’t all just shot using the iPhone itself as the team utilized beastgrip accessories such as cages and rigs, cranes, drones, and dollies during production.
It was revealed that the team utilized the integration between the iPhone 15 Pro Max, the Blackmagic Camera 50 app, and Tentacle Sync to sync all devices such as Macs and preview screens throughout production.
This also showcases the new USB-C port found on the iPhone 15 line with it now being able to hook up with professional-grade equipment for photography and filmmaking as well as external SSD drives, most especially with the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max being able to transfer data with speeds up to 10Gbps with a compatible USB 3 cable.
During post-production, editors also took advantage of the higher dynamic range enabled by Apple Log for better control and flexibility in color grading and ProRes Log encoding for better dynamic range in low-light video.
