Archos has released a smartphone for the extreme outdoors that will answer the woes of road-warriors too. How about an Android handset that’s water-proofed, rugged, and has a beefy 5000mAh battery?
This is the Archos 50 Saphir. It’s IP68-certified so it can survive 1-meter water depth for up to half an hour. As for land durability, it can only withstand a drop from up to 1 meter only. The rest of the specs are fairly standard with a 5-inch HD display, 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of expandable storage. There’s a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.
