Asus is yet to release the Padfone 2 in the Philippines but we’ve had a couple of close encounters with the device in the last couple of months. We also got some benchmark results to see how the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro fared on this handset.
First the Nenamark 2. This measures how fast the GPU pushes pixels into the 720p display.
The 58.5fps results on Nenamark 2 is already very good and at par with most of the other flagship phones in the market.
Where we’re getting really impressive results is with Quadrant and Antutu Benchmarks.
With a score of 7,751 on Quadrant, the Padfone 2 puts itself near the top of the heap with only the HTC Butterfly just a few hundred marks above it.
As for Antutu Benchmark, the Padfone 2 takes the crown as the one with the highest score we’ve ever tested at 21,798 (bested the HTC Butterfly which was at 20,850).
Qualcomm’s Snapdragn S4 Pro is indeed a beast of a chip and any handset that gets it will surely top most of our benchmark charts.
