ASUS has begun rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo update for its ZE554KL variant of the Zenfone 4. Included in the upgrade are optimized functions, improved performance and bunch of new features.

- Swipe up to All apps – After OS upgrade, launcher has some important changes – swipe up to all apps, all app icon could be changed.
- More friendly setting UI design.
Background limits – Android Oreo helps minimize background activity in the apps you use least - Autofill – With your permission, Autofill remembers your logins to get you into your favorite apps at supersonic speed.

- Install unknown apps – Hostile downloader apps can’t operate without permission; users now permit the installation of APKs per-source.

Release date starts today, December 29, 2017, and we’ve seen reports of local units receiving the said update. The update is incremental and may take about one week for the system to complete the autopush, if you do not receive the update prompt, then please go to Setting -> About -> System Update to update manually.
