ASUS has released the Android Oreo update for the ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe, bringing with it improvements and features to the two-year-old device.
The administrator of the ASUS ZenFone 3 series Philippines (SUPPORT) posted on Facebook some of the changes the update will bring:
- Swiping up on the launcher reveals all application icons which can be changed.
- Removal of bloat apps: Minimove, Photocollage, Do It Later, TripAdvisor, Puffin browser, and Kindle
- ZenMotion will be turned off in default
- Privacy settings update
The update will roll out per serial number batches which means that some users may receive the update earlier than the others. (Check out our review for the ZenFone 3 Deluxe here)

This Zenfone 3 deluxe is very unstable after the recent Oreo updates. the phone freezes randomly and stuck in the bootloop. Occasionally, it can boot up to the main screen when the battery is drained from >90% to roughly 10% if you let the phone go through the infinite bootloop. basically the phone is unstable and unusable. It is due to the recent ota updates. I’m thinking to contact all the affected user and start a legal action against Asus just like the iPhone 6 case.
