Best Smartphones under PHP 7,000 (7K) for Kids

As a parent, you want to give the best for your kid without spoiling them. That’s why getting an entry-level smartphone seems like a great idea to get them started.

The thing is though, with a whole world of budget smartphones nowadays, it can be hard to pick out the best value of the pack. That’s why we’ve gathered a list of entry-level smartphones under PHP 7,000USD 119INR 10,112EUR 114CNY 869 that are suitable for kids.

Smartphones Under 7k

These smartphones won’t feature the most premium of designs, the fastest processors, nor the best of screens.

But they will feature suitable specs that will allow a smooth experience for your child when either doing some schoolwork or playing some games.

OPPO A17K

Starting with the OPPO A17K with the MediaTek Helio G35 processor. It isn’t the most powerful but if you’re not into heavy gaming, it should be perfectly good for medium workloads.

It also carries a 6.56-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1612 x 720, which like the processor isn’t the best out there but is totally usable.

Oppo A17k Hands On

With 64GB of storage, it should be enough to store a good amount of games as well, but with only 3GB of RAM, just make sure you don’t have any other programs running in the background.

The OPPO A17K is priced at PHP 5,999USD 102INR 8,666EUR 97CNY 744.

realme C30 & C33

Next, we got the realme C30 and C33. Both carry the same chipset with the Unisoc Tiger T612, which is a slight step up over the Helio G35.

Both also carry a 6.5-inch HD+ 720 x 1600 display and even a 120Hz touch sampling rate for faster responses when gaming.

The main difference between both is simply in its camera setup with the C33’s being better than the C30, so if that’s important to you, you might want to consider the C33.

Realme C30 Ph

For just PHP 5,499USD 94INR 7,944EUR 89CNY 682 you can find the realme C30 in a 2GB+32GB spec. But we highly suggest you step up to the 4GB+64GB model of the C30 at PHP 5,999USD 102INR 8,666EUR 97CNY 744.

The realme C33 actually retails for a little over 7k but you can regularly find it on sale at just below it. As of writing we found that you can grab the realme C33 for just PHP 6,999USD 119INR 10,111EUR 114CNY 869.

narzo 50i prime & 50A prime

Next, we got two phones from narzo, the narzo 50i Prime and the narzo 50A Prime. Like the realmes, you get the Unisoc Tiger T612 chipset.

The narzo 50i Prime can be had at a much lower price though at just PHP 4,999USD 85INR 7,222EUR 81CNY 620 for its 3GB+32GB spec.

Narzo 50i Prime (12)

The main advantage of the narzo 50A Prime over the 50i Prime is an improved 6.6-inch Full HD+ display compared to the 6.5-inch HD+ display found on the 50i Prime.

You also get a much better spec with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage, which is more storage than one could possibly need.

The narzo 50A Prime as of writing is actually a little over budget at PHP 7,349USD 125INR 10,616EUR 119CNY 912. But with upgraded specs, a better display, and even an upgraded camera setup, it may just be worth it.

Cherry Mobile Aqua S10 Pro 5G

Now this one may be stretching the budget of 7k a little bit but the Cherry Mobile S10 Pro 5G carries some of the most impressive specs for a budget smartphone.

Firstly it has a large 6.78-inch Full HD+ display, a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset which blows any entry-level chipset out of the water, and even a quad rear camera setup headlined by a 48MP main.

Then you also get 5G connectivity. That means if you find yourself playing games on data a lot, then you’ll be able to get faster connection speeds.

You also get 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The 5,000 mAh battery is also capable of 18W fast charging and even wireless charging up to 10W.

Cherry Mobile Aqua S10 Pro 5g 5

For just PHP 7,999USD 136INR 11,555EUR 130CNY 993 pesos, it may just be a little over budget but we definitely think it’s worth it.

Xiaomi Redmi 10C

Last on the list is the Xiaomi Redmi 10C. Like most phones in the price bracket, you see a 6.71-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1650 x 720.

However, if you’re giving this to your child then you’ll be glad to know that it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass so that it’s less prone to damage.

Xiaomi Redmi 10c 10

What’s more is that it’s the only phone on this list to carry a Qualcomm processor with the Snapdragon 680. So you’ll be sure to have enough power for most titles nowadays.

Other features include a 50MP dual camera setup at the back and a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging.

The 4GB+64GB spec is also priced at just PHP 6,299USD 107INR 9,100EUR 102CNY 782 while bumping it up to 128GB will actually only set you back a little at only PHP 7,099USD 121INR 10,255EUR 115CNY 881 as of writing.

So, if you’re looking for a new smartphone to give to your kid (and without breaking the bank, not compromising on performance and user experience), then we hope this list has helped you!

  1. How to avail

  2. Oppo A17k also features splash resistant. The physical built does not feel cheap as well as the charger that comes with it. It also has wifi 5 for its connectivity. My only gripe with it is, the phone is still using micro-usb port.
