The new BlackBerry Classic is now up for pre-order on the company’s online store and is currently being sold for USD449. It is expected to be shipped on the latter part of December, in time for the holiday festivities.
A bit pricey.
Passport should be priced like Bolds.
Classic should be priced like Curves.
IMHO
A bit pricey at $449 but a bargain compared to Iphone 6 price tag of about $1,200-.
The objection in price is only in the absence of value.
My daily driver is a Q5 and I also have the Z10. Both devices run on BB OS 10.2. In the past, I have used BB Curve with the older OS, and I can tell that the difference between the two OSes is night and day.
My Q5 is serving we well and I don’t regret paying $350 when it was released.
For all intents and purposes, the Classic is an upgrade to the Q5 and the Bold. More power, bigger storage, bigger display, bigger battery, and modern OS. I don’t expect the price to be lower than that of the Q5 or the Bold models.
BTW, I’m just curious to know how you came up with your pricing comparison. I can do the same thing with the Apple phone line up.
