Yesterday, Cherry Mobile released three new smartphones for their Cubix lineup 11, and one of them is the Cubix Cube Max which boasts the largest display among the three.
The Cube Max sports a massive 6-inch HD IPS display, and yes, you would consider it a phablet. On its front panel, you’d spot its 8MP front camera along with the earpiece, and proximity sensor. Down below are the capacitive buttons which don’t beam when in use. Apparently, the device feels solid and chunky on the hands and comes with a little heft to it. So if you have small hands, well, better hold it with two hands.
On its right side, we have the power/lock button, and the volume rocker. No keys are to be found on the left side though.
On top of the phone houses the micro-USB slot and the 3.5mm headset jack. Typically you’d find these ports on the bottom end of the phone wherein the microphone sits alone.
Flip on its back, we have the polycarbonate back cover together with a dimpled-finish texture on opposite ends of the phone. Since our unit comes in Gold, fingerprints, and smudges aren’t that visible. Apart from that, the 13MP rear camera accompanied by a LED, fingerprint scanner, and speaker grille can be found as well.
Snap open the back cover and you’d be greeted by two micro-SIM and a microSD slot. Powering the device is a 1.3GHz quad-core CPU, 1GM RAM, 16GB ROM, Android 7.0 Nougat, and 3000mAh battery. Honestly, we were a bit disappointed to know that such large phone only packs 1GB RAM. We also had a hard time removing the back cover as it is quite thick.
