Cherry Mobile Cubix Cube Quick Review

Cherry Mobile’s partnership with Lazada resulted into a new mobile brand exclusively sold online. The device, called Cubix Cube, is a sub-Php4.5k smartphone with impressive hardware in this price category.

The Cubix Cube’s claim to fame is its octa-core processor and 2GB of RAM with a price tag of only Php4,490. That’s a combination previously unheard of consider other similar hardware combo priced around Php6k to Php7k.

The Cube is available in two colors – black and white with gold trimmings — and between the two, we think the white and gold combo looks much better. The unit has a 5-inch IPS display but we noticed it is a little bit washed out. The handset looks decent and has the slim profile so it feels good on the hands.

The processor is under-clocked to just 1.36GHz, perhaps to optimize and extend battery life. Nevertheless, the unit is still snappy and performs well within expectations.

What we liked about it:

What we did not like:
* Glossy back finish
* Low battery capacity

the unit was just delivered yesterday and after an hour installing all my needed apps and docs ..the unit turns to black screen and gets hot,, sayang pera ,, im so dissapointed and looking for review to other site same lang din ung problem nila, kaya guys warning na to sa inyo, take the risk if u like, pero sayang tlaga pera ko

I just got my Cubix Cube yesterday. I got no problem with the unit. It delivers what the specs in the paper has been written. It only needs to be recharged after 15 hours of usage with 20% remaining.

The only thing that is wrong is that its “Cherry Mobile”. Spec-wise, panalo talaga to.
I think the brand has a bad reputation, at least for me. Defective phones (heating, di na nagboboot issues, lcd issues) and bad after sales service to name a few mishaps. The brand has a long way to go para maprove nila na nagimprove na sila sa lahat ng aspect na yan.

With 2gb of ram, this is not that bad. Plus the voucher by Lazada. Minus customer service of Lazada.
