Cherry Mobile gave us the Defender to review (which you can see here) and also asked us to conduct a stress test to put into use its robust, life-proof features. Of course, we gladly obliged.
In this series of tests on video, we submerged the Defender in water to fully evaluate its waterproofing, dropped it in different places and surfaces, set it on fire, and have a sub-compact car run over it. Did it survive all those tests? Find out in the short video below:
Pag nag 50% off ulit ito pwede na patulan hehe..
ayaw kasi nilang masira ang phone kaya ganyan lang ang mga test. sayang e.
Btw, thanks for speaking English in your video. As a foreigner, this makes it possible for me to understand :)
Ano ba namang klaseng Review yan.
the heat test is a bit short imo. jerry rig uses a lighter and waits until the screen blackens then checks if it returns to normal. wish you couldve implemented the same heat stress. additionally, the water test is too shallow and no timer was set to show how long it could hold its own based on the ip68 rating. still, the phone took a lot of beating before finally giving in.
bakla ka..
Yes, especially the water test should be done better. If I buy a water proof phone, I want to be able to snorkle with it. So next time, please bring it to a day at the beach and capture some nice videos on corals when snorkeling. Thanks!
In my opinion, heat test is pretty pointless. Dropping the phone on a hard surface and water test makes sense, but who exposes their phone to pure fire? :)
