There have been a handful of photos circulating around the web of what is believed to be a brochure/flyer from Cherry Mobile which gives us an early peek at the company’s upcoming handsets, one of which is the Cherry Mobile Urban.
Specs-wise, the rumored CM Urban doesn’t differ much from other budget Android smartphones we’ve seen in recent times. It has a 4.5-inch IPS display with qHD resolution, an 8MP shooter at the back with BSI sensor paired and a 2MP camera on the front.
Its engine configuration is also nothing out of the ordinary. It comprises of a 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and a modest 4GB internal storage.
Cherry Mobile Urban specs:
4.5-inch IPS display @ 960×540 pixels, 245ppi
1.3GHz quad-core processor
1GB RAM
4GB internal storage
3G/HSPA+
Dual-SIM, Dual-Standby
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
Miracast support
8MP rear camera with Flash
2MP front-facing camera
If there’s anything about the CM Urban that you can probably write home about, it might be its software. Based on the leaked flyer, the Cherry Mobile Urban will run on Android KitKat right off the bat, making it one of the first few local handsets to run the said version of Google’s OS.
But even that is questionable at best since Cherry Mobile has yet to deliver on their promise to update the Cosmos Z2 to Android KitKat which was slated to happen last month. Well, Kitkat or not, the Cherry Mobile Urban is still a pretty decent handset for its price which is pegged at Php4,699USD 80INR 6,788EUR 76CNY 583.

Easy E says:
is this the first cm kitkat phonr? pwede na. mas maliit kesa sa aqua rio pero mas mura. At yung aqua rio daw ay sooooobrang bagal.
Ian says:
Yup. Tinest ko yung rio and sa UI navigation pa lang parang di na quadcore ang rio. Siguro mas ok itong urban basta make sure lang ng cm na di ito sirain.
Wax says:
Same specs of Oplus 8.12 quadcore lang to! Sana Kitkat na
Macky says:
Available naba to sa Stores?
Rose says:
ilan mAh ng battery nito?
RJ de Leon says:
BSI talaga ‘yung cam? Sana may mag-review… I wanna see if the cam punches above its price-point. Then again, baka after a few weeks pa lang ay ma-tengga din agad ng kalahating taon sa CM service center?
paul says:
bago lng ba to alin kya mas maganda ung cm flare s2 or ung urban??
Belle says:
. haha! ;p
