Cherry Mobile has plenty of offering under this budget but we’re only going to mention a few notable ones. Let’s start with the new generation of Flare devices like the Flare X Lite. What’s also impressive here is the large 4,900mAh battery.
As an alternative, you can also go for the Flare S5 Max. At Php3,699USD 63INR 5,344EUR 60CNY 459, it also has a 6-inch HD display, 1.3GHz quad-core CPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, 13MP camera, and Android Marshmallow. It’s toned-down but you’re getting a 4,100mAh battery which is large for a smartphone of this caliber.
If you want an affordable smartphone with Marshmallow and supports 700MHz LTE, we have the Flare A3 for Php3,299USD 56INR 4,766EUR 54CNY 409. You’re not going to get much though with its 5-inch HD display, 1GHz quad-core CPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, and 8MP rear camera.
Starmobile has some new offerings as well released just a few months ago. First, we have the Play Max which sports a 5-inch HD screen, 1.3GHz quad-core CPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, 8MP camera, Android Marshmallow, and 4,000mAh battery. for Php3,290USD 56INR 4,753EUR 53CNY 408.
Next is the UP Rave which we’d like to consider as the improved UP Sense. It features a 5-inch HD display, 1.3GHz quad-core CPU, 1GB RAM, 16GB storage, 8MP camera, fingerprint scanner, Android Marshmallow, 4,000mAh battery for Php4,290USD 73INR 6,197EUR 70CNY 532.
MyPhone has been offering budget Android smartphones with DTV features. Let’s start with the my96 DTV. It’s a nice offering thanks to its 5.5-inch HD screen, 1.3GHz quad-core CPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, 700MHz LTE, 13MP camera, 2,800mAh battery and Android Marshmallow for Php4,999USD 85INR 7,222EUR 81CNY 620.
For those who prefer a bigger battery for their DTV-equipped smartphone, there’s the my92 DTV. It has a 5-inch HD display, 1.3GHz quad-core CPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, 13MP camera, Android Marshmallow, and 4,000mAh battery for Php3,699USD 63INR 5,344EUR 60CNY 459.
Cloudfone is not to be left behind with their Thrill series of smartphones. A couple of them is well on the budget and offers 2GB RAM and Android Marshmallow. O+ has something new for this price range with the Velocity 700 LTE. It sports a 5-inch display, 1.3GHz quad-core CPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, 1,800mAh battery, Android Marshmallow, and, as the name suggests, LTE connectivity with support for 700MHz band. It’s priced at Php3,595USD 61INR 5,193EUR 58CNY 446 and comes with perks from Smart including a free TNT SIM card.
Firefly has been making noise thanks to their AURII lineup and one of their members is the affordable AURII Secret Lite. It sports an aliminum body, 5-inch display, 1.3GHz quad-core CPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, and 13MP camera with Sony sensor. It doesn’t boast much in terms of hardware but it already runs Android Marshmallow and 3,450mAh battery for Php3,499USD 60INR 5,055EUR 57CNY 434.

If I had that amount, I’ll be looking at the Mi5, Zenfone 3 5.2, Zenfone 3 Laser, Zenfone 3 Max 5.5, Mi Max. But that’s just me. Most people would likely be happy with the J7 2016, J7 Prime and Xperia XA but I find them too underpowered for my gaming pleasue.
