My EXCITEment for the Excite 502q went away when I saw the puny battery capacity. Oh well, bastards are still going to buy whatever affordable piece of junk smartphone they see on the market.
Cheap bastard android geeks, gamers and techies.
xtian says:
Guys, can applications be installed on the SD card on this one?
JoRu16 says:
Yes.
titset says:
good afternoon class… mukhang di nyo ginagamit ang kokote nyo ah. makinig at intindihin ng mabuti, ok? 5″ FWVGA + 1800 mAh > 5″ 720p + 2000 mAh, given that both run the same SoC.
pataynako says:
hidalgo says:

_montz says:

asd says:
I have this just now. Just a heads-up, from the untrained eye it looks like an IPS display but it’s a high quality TN panel. Nonetheless, it’s still a good phone but shame on you Cloudfone for false advertising!
kwwago says:
but does it have a good display quality because of the OGS, as advertized? How about the camera?
asd says:
@kwwago I’m 90% positive that it is OGS. The display quality is really good. They’ve done a good job with the viewing angles as it only has 2 angles where color shift occurs, for an average user it is alright but I wouldn’t recommend it to power users since TN panels tend to be dizzy to look at for long periods of use. The camera is one thing I’m very impressed at, it is a true 12MP sensor that takes great photos from moderately lit environments. Low light photos are above average. I’m not a fan of the single LED flash though as it fails to completely light up low lit subjects and when it does, it is mostly overdone. For those worried about the 1800mah battery, I can safely say it can last you a day with moderate usage.
kwwago says:
Thanks for the feedback. I’m trying to decide whether to get this one or Myphone Rio. Although Rio has HD diplay, i’m not quite satisfied with the display quality because of its glass panel, which some say is plastic-y (acrylic). the advantage of 502q is it’s OGS and that 12mp camera. One last question, is it OTG ready?
asd says:
@kwwago I’ve only seen the Rio in stores and I can confirm from short use that the display is indeed plastic. It is tolerable but the colors doesn’t really pop out because it is plastic. I’d say the performance of the two phones are almost the same with the 502q being a little bit more faster (because it only has FWVGA). The camera on the 502q is no doubt far superior than that of the Rio. I have no OTG cable on hand but I doubt that it would support it since it only has a measly battery capacity.
abbee says:
Is this CTIA compliant? I wonder if I can use the latest headsets with this phone. Thanks!
kwwago says:
my very, very last question. How do you assess its display quality? does the 190ppi annoy you at all, or is it still bearable despite the low pixel count?
asd says:
@abbee It’s OMTP but you can buy a converter from your local audio store.
@kwwago If you are coming from a 1080p device, you will surely notice a difference, but if you come from a HD phone, it’s almost identical. Text are very readable in small fonts and is not jagged in any way. Honestly, a qHD would be better on this but I wouldn’t complain because of the cheap price for what you’re getting. From experience, I think 300ppi upwards is overkill so don’t worry too much about the pixel density.
gavin says:
kuya please do help me po anong mas maganda cloudefone 502q myphone rio o starmobile up thanks po :) :) :) :)
wew says:
nocram says:
Panalo battery nito for FWVGA, mas matagal malobat to compare sa rio
Rosenburg says:
This or Rio? Any suggestion? Planning to buy cheap phone.
Applet says:
Got mine today. Talk about bright screen! And in fairness when I took a selfie, naglabasan lahat ng blemishes ko sa mukha. If the camera’s trying to impress me, it’s doing a really rotten job. Lol hope it doesn’t break in a month just like everybody’s saying! He he he.. Magandang go-to na smartphone for the price. Not sure how the Memory would fare since I usually download a whole bunch a stuff in my phone so we’ll see!
Phil says:
I dont comfortable sa ganitong performance.
Lambily says:
Change your power adapter. We got the same problem but when I change the USB socket wala ng eratic na nagaganap using the phone while charging.
test says:
it happens to my phone when the charger is grounded. change the charger.
Applet says:
Mula camera, texting, pagconnect sa internet, music, Bluetooth transfer, even calling. Pinasaksak ko talaga yung sim ko. In gairness, masasabi Kong premium yung bigat na may response ng low-priced phone. He he he.. You know how a low-priced phone feels like. Pretty good performance actually. And the best part is, I can save apps to SD so now I don’t have to worry about the 4GB memory card. I’ve learned that not all devices are able to do that (My CM Superion Odyssey would not) So I’m breathing easier because I don’t have to worry about running out of storage space.
titless says:
I also bought mine yesterday. Mukha ngang iphone 5c, on steroids. However the glossy back cover is so takaw fingerprint. Walang kasamang screen protector when I bought it. why? :(
