CM Razor, the most affordable Dragontrail smartphone

With the 7.7mm CM Razor just around the corner, Cherry Mobile has sent us a preview of what this smartphone can offer.

CM RAZOR

The Cherry Mobile Razor is positioned to be the most affordable smartphone to sport the Dragontrail glass. As most of you already know, this glass can withstand a good deal of stabbing and scratching. Watch the video below and see for your self.

Cherry Mobile also sent the official spec sheet of the Razor. It’s a single-SIM device and will use a micro SIM, it sports an 8 megapixel rear camera with flash (not 5 MP), a 2 megapixel front-facing camera (not 1.2 MP), and a 1,750mAh battery (not 1,700mAh).

Cherry Mobile RAZOR specs:
4.5-inch qHD IPS display, @245ppi
1.2GHz MT6589 quad-core processor
PowerVR SGX544MP GPU
1GB RAM
Expandable 4GB ROM (up to 32GB)
8 megapixel camera w/ flash
2 megapixel front-facing camera
HSPA+
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth 3.0
GPS
Li-Ion 1,750mAh battery (non-removable)
Android Jellybean v.4.2
Dimension: 135.4 x 68 x 7.7 mm
Weight: 157g

As mentioned earlier, the RAZOR is the most affordable smartphone to sport the Dragontrail glass. If that’s the case then it certainly won’t go past the 8K mark as the CM Omega HD is priced at Php7,999.

Cherry Mobile will announce the SRP and availability of the CM RAZOR on their Facebook page on June 29. In the meantime, why don’t you try to guess the price of the Razor by writing it down the comments below or post it on Facebook with the hashtag #CMRazor.

I wish! The back button is on the right though, so it isn’t. Personally, I prefer my back button on the left, a la HTC, Sony, Motorola, Acer, Asus, Alcatel, LG, ZTE, Huawei, Meizu and UMi android phones.

That Quad-Core chip will drain it’s 1750 batt to zero in 60secs….+ 2-4 hours. BUT, this Razor is a great buy – just don’t forget to buy a power brick to go with it.

Doubt it. This processor is cortex a7 based. Power efficient. Remember, s3 has only 2100 and that’s a9 based. Also the resolution is not that high, few pixels to drive. I think the battery will last as long as s3’s.

battery life again … below 2000mah battery… non-removable.. SAYANG!!! Im not sure why Cherry Mobile does not listen or do something with the customer’s complains about the battery life of their handsets…

      erratum lang po:

      customer’s complaints*

    • Avatar for anonymous anonymous says:

it’s because they don’t make the handsets themselves. they just rebrand phones from china :)

    • Avatar for r41 r41 says:

It’s a 7.7mm-thick phone, which is quite thin, and would unlikely be able to house a bigger battery, so I’m not surprised. Can’t wait for the reviews!

Pretty decent handset for a back up phone…small form factor, good ppi count, a great hardware that could go past the 13K +++ barrier in AnTutu

My wild guess would be Php 7,499
