Last time Dell announced the Venue Pro in October it was running on Windows Phone 7. Looks like there’s an Android version too and the Dell Venue has just made the global launch.
Dell Venue
Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 1GHz processor
4.1″ AMOLED display @ 480×800 pixels
512 MB RAM, 1 GB ROM
up to 32GB on microSD
HSDPA 7.2Mbps, HSUPA 5.76Mbps
WiFi 802.11 b/g
8MP autofocus camera w/ LED Flash
720p HD video
GPS w/ aGPS support
FM Radio tuner
Li-Ion 1400mAh
Android 2.2 Froyo
From the looks of it, both the Dell Venue and the Dell Venue Pro seemed identical but turns out the Android model does not come with the slide out keyboard.
It’s also interesting that Dell was able to get AMOLED displays protected by Gorilla glass considering there seems to be a low supply of AMOLEDs these days.
We might not be able to see a local release of the Dell venue but if you can just fly over to Hong Kong, you can get it for around $514 {via}.
