Globe offers Huawei Mate 9 starting at myLifestyle Plan 1499

Planning of renewing your Globe postpaid line? Well, you’re in luck as Huawei brings its latest flagship smartphone to the telco.

The Huawei Mate 9 is currently the latest Android smartphone from the Chinese company and like its Huawei P9 cousin, it sports dual rear camera cameras co-engineered with Leica.

Both plans include free Netflix and HOOQ subscription for 6 months and free 1GB Spotify premium or Disney Channel apps for 3 months. The handset’s SRP is Php31,990USD 545INR 46,213EUR 519CNY 3,970.

I immediately emailed Globe on this wanting to have the unit asap but got this response:

“Thank you for letting us know your concern for recontracting. We hope this email finds you well.

“Huawei P9 is currently out of stock. However, we have other handset offer which is available under plan 1499. Here are the lists of the following:”

Ganoon na nga siguro. Eto pa isa, around October 2016, may tumawag nag offer ng additional line. Yung kasamang unit daw bagong labas … Lenovo A something. Nung chineck ko sa GSMARENA, 2015 pa release …

after 3 days, globe responded:
As of the moment Huawei mate 9 is currently not available for recontracting. The offers online is for new line and additional line application. We don’t have yet the confirmation from our support team if Huawei mate 9 will be offered under recontracting. But as I verified on our records, we now have a new stock for Huawei P9 Prestige Gold and Gray. That is free under plan 1499.
