Google outs customizable Live Cases for Nexus phones

Google has just announced its new Live Cases for Nexus 6, 6P, and 5X that you can customize depending on your taste and personality.

These Live Cases were initially introduced last year with artworks from dubstep artist Skrillex as the design. Today, Google is rolling out more of those which you can choose two kinds of style — Places or Photos.

The Places Live Case allows you to access Google Maps and go to a specific spot to make that the design of your back cover. Once you have a location selected, you can change the map views to terrain, water, etc. and even apply filters and color overlays to make it reflect more of your personality. It also comes with a live wallpaper that always shows your current location with the same layout of your selected case.

The Photos Live Case, obviously, lets you choose a certain photo as the main design of your case. The same filters and layers could be applied just like with Places Live Case. The live wallpaper, however, is a slideshow of your photos.

Apart from those, the Live Cases have one more additional feature — it has a button at the back which opens a certain application depending on what you set it to. It can launch the camera, your browser, your favorite health app, etc.

The Live Case costs $35 each and users may customize them over at Google’s Store.
