If you’re one of the people looking to buy a phone that can take quality selfies, then you may want to take a look at what HTC has announced today – the Desire Eye.
The HTC Desire Eye has been leaked in the past in many forms, and it has confirmed to pack high-end specs and more: the Desire Eye is waterproof and comes with HTC’s new Eye Experience software which offers more shooting modes than before. Here are a few things that you can do with HTC’s Eye.
The two cameras here are of the 13 megapixel kind, and both have dual LED flashes. Unlike the HTC One M8, the phone is not made from metal, but the front-facing BoomSound speakers are still there, just overshadowed by that huge selfie camera that likes staring at you all the time.
HTC Desire Eye specs:
5.2-inch 1920 x 1080 LCD display
2.2GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core CPU
Adreno 330 GPU
2GB RAM
16GB internal memory
WiFi
Bluetooth
GPS
LTE
13 megapixel rear & front-facing cameras
Dual LED flash, 1080p video
Android 4.4 KitKat with HTC Sense
2,400mAh battery
White, red, blue colors available
Local pricing and availability are yet to be announced so stay tuned.
Update: Corrected display size to 5.2-inches and updated to reflect that there are also front-facing BoomSound speakers, though hard to see. Apologies for the confusion.
