HTC Magic is next Google Android Phone

HTC’s has announced it’s second Android-based phone — the HTC Magic — and this time, the phone sheds off the keyboard from the previous model (HTC Dream).

And while the old Android G1 phone was locked with T-Mobile, the new G2 phone will be distributed via Vodafone (based on the markings) but who says we can’t get an unlocked phone via Singapore or Hong Kong?

    To those who are already using their G1s: i just bought my own G1
    phone from the US 3 wks ago and it’s been sitting in my drawer
    since. i can’t use it :( i had it unlocked already, but it can’t
    get access to the internet and would always say i have a problem
    with my sim (i’m using SMART). i can’t figure out the APN settings.
    i think i need to set it manually but i don’t know how. if anybody
    knows how i can activate and finally use my G1 phone, pls be an
    angel and email me at jo****@****.***..i will very much appreciate
    it. thanks:)

    Android phones are expensive because the OS has high CPU and memory requirements, just like Windows Mobile and iPhone OS.

    Almost all of the Android phones that will be marketed in the future are still gonna be expensive! If only some company would create a cheap yet feature-full one, I’d buy from that company just to try out Android.
