Now that the HTC One mini is out, it’s time to square it off with another mini that could, the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini. Let the spec showdown begin.
To start things off, the One mini and the S4 mini were announced just recently. The S4 mini was announced first in June followed by the One mini a month later. Both smartphones have 4.3-inch displays with Gorilla Glass, Snapdragon 400 dual-core CPUs, LTE connectivity and skinned Android 4.2.2 Jellybean.
Judging from the spec sheet, the HTC One mini has the advantage in terms of display resolution, built-in internal storage, and aluminum build. However, the S4 mini scores better when it comes to CPU clock speed, RAM, micro SD card support, battery capacity, and smaller and lighter body. Samsung is also offering a dual-SIM variant of the S4 mini, removing LTE as a trade-off.
As for the camera, the S4 mini has a higher megapixel count at 8MP, but since image quality doesn’t always depend on the amount of pixels, we can’t rule out the One mini’s 4MP Ultrapixel technology just yet.
The only missing aspect here is the local pricing. There’s also a good chance that these phones will become carrier exclusives as well so we’ll just have to stay tuned for those. So, how about that? Which mini do you think is better?
Mas maganda pa yata ang Zenfone 5 keysa S4 mini. What do u think?
how much?
I go for S4 mini..
HTC One is pretty sick. It looks like an iPhone though.
I’d choose the HTC One mini over the S4 even though this article seems in favor of Samsung. #justsaying
i think lenovo s890 is better than this two smartphones..
Dont be a fool. Just because its cheap doesnt mean its better.
IMO, Xperia SP is still the best buy among midrange phones considering the hardware and features you’d get for less. :)
Current prices both are bad, the samsung s4 mini is around 21k, which is insane. You can easily buy a xperia Z for almost the same price now
Both phones are wastes of money. There are better phones for both of their price range.
Wow, that 16 gb + no sd slot option for the HTC is obviously a bummer, winner na sana
^
I second the motion. SD slot is a deal breaker
Cloud Storages are available. They are always there, just connect to internet. No need to physically buy and carry along SD cards with cloud.
