  6. sixto velasco says:

what is the difference between the htc wildfire s to htc wildfire s smartphone color pink?

  7. Nicole says:

Hi may I know kung available na ang Wildfire s dito sa philippines?

  8. me says:

  9. Jeic says:

Why to have galaxy ace over wildfire s? i mean 800mhz nga pero lalamunin naman ang battery mo. I think htc wildfire s is better, also even 600mhz ang processor malaki naman ang ram 512ram. I chose ram here over the processor.

  10. bench says:

mmmm..with this price..better u consider the samsung galaxy models…samsung galaxy mini..and the samsung galaxy gio..here in uae the price of the “gio” is less than 9k..and the mini is around 6.5k only..bka magbaba din price nila dyan satin..

  11. Juan Dela Cruz says:

    Hello sir/mam,

Just want some feedback (Planning on purchasing a new phone)

Which is better? (I know mahirap ang comparison na ito dahil magkaiba sila)

HTC Wildfire S or Blackberry Curve 9300 3g

    Thanks!

    • Dudette says:

BBM, “skeptical” looks at physical keyboard

  12. tetchie says:

Finally…..a worthy replacement for my 2 year old HTC Touch!
Ang mahal naman kasi ng HTC but ever since I had one, nawalan na ko ng gana sa Nokia, SE, and Samsung.

  13. rondo says:

anu mas mganda wildfire S or galaxy tab?

  14. IT Rush says:

Big feature for a cheaper price? Not bad.

  15. Arvee says:

13k or 14k, the specs of the phone is not worth it. Yes, it beats the X10 mini line, but for the price range there are phones that boasts more features and power.

But I must say the HTC Sense, both the UI and Web Utility, is one of the major selling point for this phone.

    • Dude says:

I’ve never encountered a gray market seller who has the capacity to replace a broken unit w/ a new one a week after a transaction’s been made. So what you said is a new and interesting thing i should look into.

I’ve been trying to find a benchmark test pitting the WS vs the Ace on the websites you mentioned but couldn’t find any. I did find this, though:

      http://www.tracyandmatt.co.uk/blogs/media/tracyandmatts_blog/windowslivewriter/htcwildfiresreview_e39e/benchmark_4.png

X10 really shouldn’t be put in the same picture as the Wildfire S or the Ace. The SE phone is an option for budget conscious buyers who want a bigger screen. It’s like comparing a bnew Mitsubishi L300 (it’s still in production, i think) vs a 2011 Vios.

    • Arvee says:

Well, with regards to your first statement, I think you should really have to canvass a lot more. :) Okay I’m giving up, the store’s name is Kimstore. I think they still have their multiply page, you can look for my feedback there regarding a return due to a factory defect. And others’ return experiences too as well. (Pero konti lang kaya you better start now haha)

Technically speaking, the guy above was correct. The oldest ARMv6 archi-based processor can only be OC’d to 740MHz, which obviously isn’t the Ace’s base clock speed. So the Wildfire S must be using this older processor or worse, an ARMv5 archi-based processor pa. That’s old, isn’t it?

Why remove the X10 from the scene? It’s still an android phone so it still can be included on a person’s buying option. As what I’ve said, it depends on the user in the end.

Anyway, I could’ve considered your analogy kung 7th generation lancers ang ginamit mo instead of the L300. The L300 we know is a pick-up, the Vios is a car. That applies sana to comparisons with a tablet and a phone. The Xperia X10 is a phone (it’s still not a tablet despite it’s screen estate), the Wildfire S, Defy and Ace are phones too.

    • juicyjor says:

      thanks arvee sa store. lol

    • Dude says:

Ah, i will look into both the warranty and the processor model of the Wildfire S.

I was referring to the L300 van. I’m sure you remember it. Anyway, as far as i know the Wildfire S is for those looking for a small phone. They’re after those who dislike big screen phone. It’s not even supposed to compete in the same category as the Ace, much less the X10. But, of course, the phone market is just so crowded now that certain lines have blurred.

You are right, preference nalang yan. At least there’s a lot to choose from and discussions like these can only help us look for the phone that will give us more bang for the buck.

    • Dudette says:

WHAT! FYI the sammy uses a ARM 11 processor also known as the ARMv6 architecture.

Like what? Please give some samples

    • Arvee says:

For an additional 1000 bucks, you can get a brand new Xperia X10 (on a famous cellphone selling site). If you can live without the manufacturer’s warranty, gray-market Motorola Defy units are selling for the same price. Samsung Galaxy Ace also sells at the same price point (and even .

Madami pa actually, you just have to canvass around a little bit more

    • Dude says:

X10 belongs to a different class and a different year.

The cost of ownership of a gray market phone is high. So add that up and mas mahal pa sya talaga.

The Galaxy Ace is also old and actually even slower. Samsung has put it on sale to clear up their inventory.

    • Arvee says:

Mind you, gray market units still have their shop warranty. Just make sure you choose the right seller so you know that when you experience a problem, you either get a new replacement or your phone gets repaired in its country of origin (mostly Hongkong/Singapore pero most of the time they replace your phone lalo kung factory defect siya).

Based on the benchmarks I have seen on GSMArena and XDA-dev forums, Samsung Ace eats Wildfire S for breakfast (and lunch, too). Ang laban lang ng Wildfire S eh mas solid ang build nya against the plasticky feel ng Ace. This is based on my experience with owning the Wildfire and testing the Ace at a store.

The Ace is not old. I can’t even see stores that put these units up for sale. Well, it actually depends on your definition of old. But specs wise, they live in the same generation.

X10 is old, pero its performance can still keep up with the Wildfire S.

It all ends up to the user’s need and preference naman.

  16. tmcr says:

    • ric says:

but mahinang klase ang cpu ng Ace– the ultimate test? IT CAN”T RUN FLASH. HTC Wild fire S is a better deal. You see sometimes it goes beyond the numbers

    • vince says:

  17. Ty says:

For an HTC phone, it’s already a good deal.

  18. Zo says:

it aint bad with that price tag. actually. it’s a good deal IMO

  19. Pepito says:

I totally agree. This is better than the Xperia X10 mini/pro. Even if they have the same specs, this one has android 2.3
Sony Ericsson neglected to upgrade the minis, saying 2.1 is better. Lame excuse to sell their new phones LOL

  20. Jologs says:

Ayoko na magpaloko sa Wildfire. Hehehehe.

  21. jp says:

  22. Jam. says:

    600 Mhz? geez :|

  23. Winziph says:

ang cool talaga ng mga HTC phones.

  24. hey says:

    That’s a great deal for 14k.

  25. 21 says:

just buy experia X10 or Galaxy SL or Samsung wave!

  26. adam says:

    FTW at Php 14K. :-)

  27. yuan says:

more worthy than SONY ERICSSON’s XPERIA MINIS.

    but the design is awful.

  28. yuan says:

more worthy than SONY ERICSSON’s XPERIA MINIS

  29. Amao says:

    • yuan says:

hey amao se x10i is way more different from htc. panget ng UI nyan. the best parin kahrit walang front facing camera
