The only major drawback that I can think of, and that could probably change your mind in getting this, is that it’s still stuck on an ageing version of Android (4.0.4). Nevertheless, we still think that Ascend D1 Quad XL is a viable option if you’re in the market for an affordable quad-core smartphone from a reputable brand.

Doesn’t Huawei upgrade their phones firmware? It’s a good unit. But why is it still on ICS? A JB fw of 4.1 should already be running.

Yung P1 na nag sale alam ko may update na. Saka itong D1 may JB sa China so sana magkaroon ng official intl release. Natatagalan ata dahil may kasamang Emotion UI.

Btw oo nga, ayusin nila tong comments section. Mga wala kasing magawa sa buhay yung ibang mga tao.

for those who don’t mind having just ics intalled, and isn’t comfortable flashing custom roms, this is a very good choice. from the design, the hardware to the display. If I am not mistaken. I believe it scored 15,500 plus on the Antutu.

I bought the phone when I read this post. The specs and performance is ok even if it’s on ICS. But it would definitely have a performance boost if Huawei will push JB on this handset.

customize ui ni huawei. balak ko kasi bumili this week. for low budget ok na to. napuntahan ko na tong http://en.miui.com/thread-2651-1-1.html. pero di sya part ng official release di tulad ng huawei honor. Assume ko same approach sa pag flash ng honor http://en.miui.com/a-143.html.
hehe first time ko lang mag flash ng android. sa iphone 3gnagawa ko na. eto anf replacement phone nya hehhe.
