The Huawei Honor View 10 was originally announced in China back in November as the Honor V10. It’s called Honor View 10 in the US and Europe.
The Honor View 10 combines the design touches of the P10 Plus and Nova 2i with the hardware of the Mate 10. The result is a simple yet nice looking smartphone that’s as powerful as Huawei’s flagship devices.
In a way, the Honor View 10 represents the premium mid-range line-up of Huawei, just below the flagship P-series. This is also evident in the hardware configuration and the pricing. What’s missing with the Honor View 10 is the Leica co-branded cameras although the configuration of the dual rear camera is almost identical (RGB+monochrome).
The size of the Honor View 10 is almost similar to that of the Nova 2i — it’s slightly thinner (7mm vs 7.5mm) but a bit heavier (172g vs 164g). The display size is pretty close as well (5.99″ vs 5.9″). The screen-to-body ratio is higher on the View 10 (78.6% vs. 76.5%) despite the placement of the fingerprint scanner at the front instead of the back.
Huawei does not normally release the Honor series in SEA, especially in the Philippines but we might see the same model in a different Huawei name. Otherwise, some local online reseller might just bring them in, albeit unofficially.
