The Huawei P9 was just announced yesterday. It’s got a dual 12-megapixel shooter at the back which is co-developed with one of the leaders in camera optics — Leica. Just before the Chinese manufacturer unveiled the device to the public, a group of photographers was able to test out the phone’s camera capabilities.
5 members of EyeEm, a photography community and marketplace of over 15 million photographers, were able to use the P9 around Rome and here their samples:
Indeed, the sample shots are stunning and good to look at. The Leica partnership for Huawei could really boost P9’s sales among mobile photography enthusiast. Although, the samples are already processed with VSCO, a photo editing app, so we’re not dealing with fresh samples here.
We’re still cooking our own take on the Huawei P9. For now, here’s a quick first impression directly from London.
