Huawei has announced its latest flagship Android phone and calls it the Huawei Vision. It’s not really a hard-core handset but we’re expected Huawei to target the entry to mid-level market with this one.
Huawei is more popular with the 3GUSB dongles that you get from the local telcos and their Ideos smartphone line-up made some noise in recent years. They also got that dual-core Huawei MediaPad we saw in Singapore back in June.
Huawei Vision
3.7″ display @ 480×800 pixels*
1.0GHz Snapdragon processor
2GB ROM
512MB RAM
up to 32Gb via microSD
HSDPA 14.4Mbps, HSUPA 5.76Mbps*
Bluetooth 2.1 w/ A2DP
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
FM radio tuner
GPS w/ aGPS support
1400mAH battery
Android 2.3 Gingerbread
The exact screen resolution and the 3G connectivity is not yet final but we’re hoping it will follow the same specs as the Ideos X5 {via}.
I also liked the design of the Ideos X3 (photo above) and the Huawei Vision seems to get the style from that handset (my guess is that the Vision is an X3 with an upgraded specs). The 9.9mm thin body isn’t the thinnest but anything under 10mm is already cool in my book.
