Hi there! Would like to know if this personal hotspot is faster than a globe superstick? Taken to account that iPhone4 has signal issues which may affect the data transfers…

  2. cheesyfiona says:

Did anybody experience losing contacts, apps or messages after upgrading to the OS 4.3? I have been reading Apple forums and it seems some people did. I don’t have backups whatsoever, any tips before I upgrade? TIA

  3. Choi says:

Sorry for the noobness, but is it for free? I would like to refer this to my co-teacher who owns an iphone 4.

  4. Peter says:

Sir xcu, how about ung globe broadband prepaid kit na usb type, is there a way na magamit un pang internet sa ipod touch 4th gen? La wi fi d2 sa province eh.. At panu ung router? Tnx

    • xcu says:

no you cant coz u need the usb dongle to connect to your laptop and it doesnt provide wifi connectivity. Kung ipod touch lang ang gadget mo then i suggest u buy huawie wifi router. meron yan sa Globe(check mo site nila)they call it Mifi merong and superstick at meron din review ng huawie E5 here in Yugatech. search mo na lang.

  5. xcu says:

i read somewhere that iOS 4.3 drains battery fast. Is this true? sa naka update na ng OS na experience nyo ba na mabilis maubos battery life ng Iphone.

  6. tan says:

    • xcu says:

pwede as long as you have a router to enable wifi connection.

    Hi Abe,

I can’t seem to find where/which your footnotes (asterisks ‘*’) actually refer to.

    • anton says:

that’s because it was copied from the official release notes of Apple. Meh.

  13. lippo_80 says:

Just finished downloading and updating my iPhone 4. Was disappointed not to explore the much awaited personal hotspot though. Downloaded thru apple and been using Globe issued iPhone. Am i doing something wrong or its deactivated for Globe? Or i just cant find it and busy on exploring these new features??? Please help.

    • Arnold says:

Make sure you have 3G on with the correct APN.

    • lippo_80 says:

      Hi Arnold,

Thanks for the swift reply. I enabled 3G and cellular data. Didnt changed the APN. its still internet.globe.com.ph

Hope you could shed some more light on this.

    • deuts says:

If you are on a postpaid plan, you should be alright with ‘internet.globe.com.ph’. If you’re prepaid, just change it to ‘http.globe.com.ph’.

    • lippo_80 says:

Got the solution. All you have to do is Reset your Network Settings! Enjoy everyone!!!

  14. techie_kuno says:

can i do some update on an untethered jailbroken ipod touch 4g? would it harm my gadget if i made an update?

    • ade says:

You will lose your jailbreak including your tweaks and your non legit apps.

  15. Winziph says:

    time to have updates.

  16. Paul says:

Yeah, a mobile site would be great. Or an app. Speaking of which what happened to the yugatech app?

  17. Dr. Campbell says:

hey i tried browsing your blog on my iPhone , but the experience is not optimized for mobile devices, why don’t you use MobStac, which gives a brilliant experience and is free, you can check it out at http://www.mobstac.com/b

  18. Darren says:

successfully update and hotspot working properly!

  19. jason says:

SEND ME THE LINK WHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD IT! HAHAHA

  20. Arnold says:

The mobile hotspot worked on my Globe Iphone 4. Was able to share connection with my iPad.

    • Jan says:

Hi. Mine is also working. I tried connecting my computer and cp and it works pretty cool. But does it incur cost even I have supersurf? Thanks.

    • Arnold says:

I’m also on unlimited surfing…I don’t think it will incur additional cost.

    • Jan says:

Hi. Mine is also working been able to add my computer and cp. But does it incur cost given that I have supersurf? Thanks.

  21. Harry says:

I don’t think the Personal Hotspot feature is activated in Globe-distributed units. I just updated mine and I can’t seem to find it.

  22. jun says:
