Lenovo teases upcoming Z5 phone with ‘all screen’ body

Recently, Lenovo’s Vice President Chang Cheng teases on Weibo a sketch of what could be the company’s upcoming phone, the Z5, sporting an all screen body, and yes, no notch in sight at all.

According to Cheng, the Z5 will feature four technological breakthroughs including 18 patented technologies. Not much info has been revealed about this phone yet but it’d be interesting to find out how Lenovo work its way to put in the front camera.

If you can remember, Vivo also revealed its concept smartphone, the APEX, that sports an almost-perfect bezel-less front display. Its eight-megapixel front camera will elevate in 0.8 seconds when needed and return back to its original position when in idle mode.

Perhaps Lenovo could also be doing the same thing? What do you think?

I once owned a lenovo vibe z2 pro and was happy about the hardware quality but hated how stingy the company had been with rolling out OS updates. My device model only got updated once from kitkat to lollipop and had not been followed up. Not to mention that it was plagued by bugs from the get go that weren’t resolved by any system updates and i don’t mean just simple bugs but the kind that kept me stuck at the boot logo for ten minutes every time i would restart the phone.

So my impression of lenovo has been overcast by a bunch of worries like lack of after sales support especially OS updates and buggy software and will only change if the company starts to genuinely gear their vision towards customer satisfaction.
