On a teaser uploaded to YouTube, LG confirms that the upcoming handset to launch this February will be water-resistant. If we are to follow what the company did last year, we can be seeing the new G6 at this year’s Mobile World Congress.
The video shows different smartphone users telling us what they’re looking for in an ideal smartphone — big screen, a compact body, and water-resistance are just a few of them. LG mentions towards the end that “your wishes for the ideal smartphone will come to life” and that we should “stay tuned for its arrival in February 2017.”
Previous reports have confirmed that the LG G6 will have a unique super-wide LCD display with a resolution of 2880 x 1440. It is to be expected to have an 18:9 aspect ratio whereas the current G5 and most handsets today is at 16:9. It’s interesting to see how this is supposed to lure more users along with its other features so stay tuned as we get more details on LG’s upcoming flagship phone.
