LG Optimus G coming to the Philippines this March

We just got word today that the official launching of the LG Optimus G is set this March. The Optimus G is the fraternal twin of the Nexus 4 but with a few improvements, like a microSD expansion and LTE connectivity.

And speaking of LTE, I am also told that Smart will support the Optimus G in their LTE network.

LG Optimus G (E970) specs:
4.7-inch 720p True HD 720p IPS display @ 1280×768 pixels, 318ppi
Corning Gorilla Glass
Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon S4 Pro 1.5GHz quad-core
Adreno 320 GPU
2GB RAM
32GB internal storage
up to 64GB via microSD
HSPA+ & LTE 100Mbps
NFC
Bluetooth 4.0 w/ A2DP
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, dual-band, WiFi Direct, DLNA
13MP rear camera, LED flash
1080p video recording @ 30fps
1.3MP front-facing camera
720p video recording @ 30fps
GPS w/ AGPS support, GLONASS
TV-out (via MHL A/V link)
Android 4.0 ICS (planned upgrade to Jellybean 4.1.2)
2100mah Li-Po battery
131.9 x 68.9 x 8.5mm (dimensions)
145grams (weight)

LG’s QSlide function (read about it here) is one of the most intuitive multi-tasking feature we’ve seen on a smartphone and LG stressed this was made as smooth as possible because of the Snapdragon S4 Pro.

In any case, we’re hoping to aget a hold of a unit soon. We still don’t have any idea on the suggested retail price but we’re hoping it will be under Php25k since the Nexus 4 retailed for only Php24,990.
