LG unveils Optimus F5 and F7 ahead of MWC

After much speculations and a couple of leak images, LG has finally launched the Optimus twin that consists of Optimus F5 and Optimus F7.

Both of these Android Jelly bean (Android 4.1.2) smartphones will flaunt a dual-core processor and has LTE support. Of the two, the F7 is the bigger and better spec’d handset which will sport a 4.7-inch TrueHD IPS display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 2GB worth of RAM, 8GB of internal storage with expandability option, two cameras (8MP & 1.3MP) and 2,540mAH battery.

The Optimus F5, on the other hand, is the toned down version of the one mentioned above. It’ll have a 4.3-inch IPS screen, 1.2GHz engine with a Gigabyte of RAM and instead of an 8MP camera; it will only have a 5MP snapper at the back which is also accompanied by a 1.3MP at the front. The Optimus F5 will have the same storage capacity as its bigger sibling which can be upgraded up to 32GB. However, this handset’s battery is smaller compared to the F7’s which is rated at 2150mAh.

LG has yet to disclose the pricing of these new smartphones, but they mentioned that the Optimus F5 is slated to be available in Europe starting next quarter followed by the F7 which will be launched in “select markets”.

The F5’s specs are actually very impressive considering it’s the toned down version. If this sells below P10,000…..then you have a bestseller in your hands.
