LG V30 will feature OLED FullVision display

The LG V30, which is likely to launch on August 31 in Berlin, Germany, has been pretty much confirmed by LG to have a 6-inch OLED FullVision display.

It will run at a resolution of 1440 x 2880, deliver full sRGC color space, and be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The technology to be used is plastic OLED, which allows for nice curved edges.

It will be LG’s first OLED smartphone since 2015’s G Flex 2, and LG says this extends its leadership in OLED from the TV market, now to the premium smartphone market. The display will also be LG’s largest smartphone display in four years, while keeping the body smaller than that of the V20.

We’ll have to stay tuned for IFA 2017 on August 31 to see how this will stack up.
