LG has officially announced in Korea their latest addition to the Vu family of smartphones that packs a 5.2-inch HD screen and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 CPU – the Vu 3.
The LG Vu 3 sports a 5.2-inch (1280 x 960) HD IPS LCD that has an aspect ratio of 4:3 and a pixel density of 307 ppi, a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 2.1 megapixel front-facing, and comes with a “Rubberdium” stylus.
Powering the device is a 2.26GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU, Adreno 330 GPU, Android 4.2.2 Jellybean, and includes a wide range of connectivity features like support for LTE-Advanced network, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
The Vu 3 is slated to be released on September 27th via South Korea’s major telcos. No information yet on pricing and international availability.
i love the VU 3 but i love the LG G2 more! LG products are really dominating the mobile market scene and it really is one brand to be watched by others. specially with their newest smartphone hitting the market, the LG G2! new features that no other smartphone have will make an impact to a lot of consumers!
love the 4:3 ratio…
Me too! Good dimensions 132.1×85.6×9.4mm and just weighs 161 grams. I don’t like the usual 5″ screens in the market coz of the height it tends to stretch the web pages too much vertically and if you switch to landscape the screen is still to small for typing sometimes you can’t see the text field.
This screen size is perfect for Aldico and other e-readers.
Will buy this if it becomes available here and I hope it does.
So LG didn’t cancel its Vu series. Maybe there is still a market after all for phones with screens that has 4:3 aspect ratio. It maybe short & stout but the 4:3 aspect ratio is actually better for reading ebooks and web browsing.
Will definitely consider this as my next phablet.
parang pinapandak na note 2 hahaha
note 2? ano yun? laruan?
