Based on Meizu’s official twitter handle they are planning to release the M6 Note’s little brother, the M6, on September 20. The M6 is supposedly a toned down version of the M6 Note which Meizu announced last August and is now on sale at official Meizu online stores since September 1.
Based on leaked images of the phone running CPU-Z, the M6 will have a smaller 5.2-inch screen with a lower 720p resolution. It also seems that the device is powered by a MediaTek MT6750 chipset as opposed to the M6 Note’s Snapdragon 625. Meizu left the base RAM and storage unchanged as the phone still has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. We don’t know though if there will be other variants of the M6 with bigger storage or RAM.
It may seem that this device has little resemblance to the M6 note and is more of a downgrade than a tone down, but let’s give Meizu the benefit of the doubt and wait for their announcement on September 20. There’s no official word if the M6 will reach Philippine shores.
